Dear Ms. Welker,
I am reading Little Women. I am on chapter one, Merry Christmas.
My prediction is that it is going be about four girls (they are sisters) and the Civil War. Why do I think this? I think this because of the picture on the cover of the book and the clothes they are wearing.
While I was reading I had a few questions. My first question is why do the men get paid more then the women? Because they thought that they were hard workers.
Where are the four girls' father? Well the book says that after you get married you go to the Civil War to show how tough they are.
There was a word that I could not figure out and it is possessions. I asked an adult and it means things belonging to you. This is a great book.

This is a very good book! Great choice Alyssa! You have a good basic post here, but there are some ways you could improve. First, you can add more details about your story. If I hadn't already known what this book was about, I would certainly want to know more about it! Second, try to connect to your book. Ask yourself questions like "How would I feel if I were in this character's situation?"
